Set chapter markers in Premiere Pro and add searchable metadata for a web DVD. Dynamic Link gives you the ability to make changes in Premiere Pro and have them ripple through to Encore.Combining Encore with Premiere Pro via Dynamic Link gives you a powerful and easy post production workflow. The basic workflow for creating a web DVD: add searchable metadata to clips and create your sequence in Premiere Pro. Then, send to Encore where we build a project that plays on a web page and is searchable.Add Metadata in Premiere ProThe first thing we’ll need to do is add metadata in Premiere. Select clips in the Project, right click and select “Analyze Content”.In the Analyze Content dialog check “Speech”, select High Quality and click OK. This will launch Adobe Media Encoder and the speech analysis will begin. Depending on the speaker and the quality of your footage you make get mixed results. In my example I selected the words it got wrong and corrected them.Note: you can also attach a script from Adobe Story for better results.Creating Chapter Markers in Premiere ProChapter markers created in Premiere Pro will show up in Encore as chapter points.Create chapter markers by clicking the “Set Encore Chapter Marker” icon. They will show up as Red markers in Premiere, while comment markers are green & web link markers are orange. The quickest way and my preferred way to set an Encore Chapter Marker is to create a keyboard shortcut. See our post on creating keyboard shortcuts in Premiere Pro for more info. You can also change the type of marker by double clicking on the marker and selecting a different type under “Options”.You don’t need to create a chapter marker at the beginning of your sequence, as Encore will do this automatically. Also, the name you assign the marker in Premiere Pro will also show up in Encore (View>Show Chapter Names). The advantage of creating chapter markers in Premiere Pro is they show up on the exact frame. If you create markers in Encore after the footage has been converted to MPEG-2, then the markers can be 15 (NTSC) to 12 frames (PAL) off because of the GOP structure of MPEG-2 files. The Premiere Pro help has more details on MPEG-2/GOP.Sending to Encore using Dynamic LinkWith the sequence selected in the Project, go to File > Adobe Dynamic Link > Send to Encore.Encore launches, then name your Project and pick either DVD or Blu-Ray under Settings (you can change this later). The Project then opens with a timeline of your Premiere Pro Sequence. Now, when you go back to Premiere Pro (Command + Tab for Mac, Alt + Tab Windows) and make a change (like applying an effect) it updates in Encore. If Premiere Pro is closed, Select the Premiere Pro sequence in the Project and Command/Control + E to “Edit Original” which opens Premiere Pro so you can make further changes.Building A Web DVD (Flash)In this example we’ll do a simple auto play disk. You can add menus and create more complex projects if needed. Besides burning a standard DVD or Blu-ray DVD, Encore allows you to build a Flash DVD for a webpage that is searchable. We need to set the Title Button “Action” & “End Action” for the Timeline. Using “Check Project” will show us the connections we need to make.In Encore, select the Build panel and click “Check Project”:Click “Start”. This shows you any problems that need to be fixed. By clicking on an issue in the list, Encore will take you to the problem.Click the pulldown for Title Button and select “Stop”. Then, click the pulldown for Timeline End Action and select “Stop”.Next, click “Start” to verify you have fixed any problems (they disappear if fixed).Back in the Build panel, set Format to Flash, and change “Settings” to FLV.Click Build and the Flash file is created.Double click on the index to launch your browser. Click the search icon (magnifying glass), and type a word you want to find. A list shows you where the word is used and you can then navigate to it.(click for larger view)Got tips for creating DVD projects in Encore?Let us know your thoughts/experiences in the comments below.
Subtle application of the Puppet tool can make a big difference to still designs by adding a hint of life-like movement that simple transforms simply can’t. There are all sorts of places this can be applied, just remember to do small movements – they’ll translate well without looking too fake.Got any After Effects tips/tricks/techniques you’d like to share? Let us know in the comments below! Previewing this, it does look like its wings are stretching out, so now I’m going to move those keyframes to line up with the scale I already have on the layer. You’ll notice it looks a little… funny. This is because the Puppet tool movement isn’t eased at all. I’m going to select all of the deform keyframes and right click, setting them to “Easy Ease.”After that, I’ll jump into the Curve Editor and drag the influence on the end keyframes to about 50%.This gives us a nice, eased movement. Add subtle animation and bring your designs to life with the Puppet tool in After Effects. Here’s everything you need to know. When working with image assets (especially vector designs), subtle application of the Puppet tool in After Effects can add life to your animation. In this example, I’m animating a background design of a bird and other design elements scaling up.The bird feel pretty lifeless, so I’m going to use the Puppet tool (the pushpin icon in the menu bar, as seen below) to give it some subtle movement. The Puppet tool lets you add “pins” in the image, then move and warp the image based on where you move the pins. Each time you click on the image with the Puppet tool, you add a “pin” which acts as a kind of soft joint. I’m going to start by adding my initial joints, as well as adding a few joints that I won’t be keyframing, to keep certain parts of the image from moving. I’m going to place pins on the tips, middle joint, and beginning of its wings, the tips and beginning of his tail, and the middle of the head and the neck.By default, as soon as you add a pin, it puts an initial keyframe for that pin wherever your playhead is.From here, I’m going to move back a few frames and do my deforming. I want it to look like the bird is spreading his wings and tail as it scales up, so I’m going to deform it by bringing the tips of its wings down a little and the mid-point of its wings down and a little towards the center of its body.I’ll take the three bottom points on the tail and move them all in a bit towards the top tail joint. Then I’ll take the head pin and drag it up just a little, so that it looks like the bird is lowering its head as it spreads its wings into a flying position.
The deteriorating law and order situation in Jammu and Kashmir was the main reason for the BJP to pull out from the coalition government and pave the way for Governor’s rule to ensure the restoration of peace and normalcy, State party chief Ravinder Raina said on Wednesday. The decision was not abrupt and was taken after three-month long deliberations in the larger interest of the nation, he asserted. He denied any politics behind the decision.“The main issue was the fast deteriorating law and order situation in the Valley. The only alternative was Governor’s rule because there will be a single line administration,” he said. “There might be political compulsions for parties in handling such a tough situation but during Governor’s rule, we are of the opinion that anti-terror operations and operations against anti-social elements will easily be carried out.” ‘Army given a free hand’Mr. Raina, who was flanked by several top BJP leaders, including former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, said restoration of law and order was the need of the hour. The Army was given a free hand in the last three years, resulting in the elimination of 619 terrorists. As many as 23 Pakistan terrorists were also neutralised by the forces during the Ramzan ceasefire, which was part of many initiatives taken to restore peace. Also Read Omar demands immediate dissolution of J&K Assembly, fresh polls Mr. Raina said the government was not able to carry out anti-terror operations as the BJP wanted. “We wanted terrorist-free Kashmir to allow people to live their lives with honour and dignity and without any fear.” Referring to the suspension of operations during Ramzan, he said Pakistan responded to the initiative by activating the entire International Border and parts of the Line of Control on the same day the Centre announced it. Infiltrators were pushed and innocents were targeted, including a renowned journalist who was killed in the broad daylight. “The Jammu bus stand was attacked with a grenade, while Army jawan sepoy Choudhary Aurangzeb was shot dead after abduction,” he said defending the BJP’s decision. He also referred to the killing of police officers, including DSP Mohammad Ayoub Pandit, who was lynched by a mob at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar in 2017.Asked whether the Army would be given a free hand to deal with the situation under Governor’s rule, he said the Army always enjoyed free hand and was fully capable to deal with any challenge. He denied that the BJP was not waiting for any opportunity. “We believe nation stands first and the Tricolour is our priority. The BJP is not for power. Had it been our aim, there were still three more years left to govern the State,” he said.’Difficulty in implementing developmental projects’In response to another question whether it was a mistake on the part of the BJP to ally with the PDP, Mr. Raina said his party tried its best to form a government on its own but fell short of its mission 44 plus seats. The BJP faced some difficulty in implementing developmental projects as some Ministries were not with the party. On National Conference vice president Omar Abdullah’s demand for the dissolution of the Assembly due to apprehensions of horse-trading, he said, “It is his personal view. Those who indulge in such practice speak such things. The BJP never talks about it and we don’t have this motive.” He avoided answering questions on Article 370, which gives special status to the State.Asked about former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s statement that her party acted according to its agenda and ensured protection of Article 370, ceasefire and withdrawal of cases against pelters of stones, Mr. Gupta said nothing was possible without the support of the BJP. “We supported the PDP in restoration of normalcy. We felt that some Ministries, including the Home Ministry (which was under the Chief Minister) failed to take tough decisions and demonstrated soft approach and registered FIRs against security personnel,” he said.
Babar Azam struck a half-century and spinner Imad Wasim grabbed five wickets in Pakistan’s nine-wicket win against the West Indies in the first Twenty20 international on Friday.Azam was unbeaten on 55 from 37 balls as Pakistan chased 116-1 in 14.2 overs. Wasim’s 5-14 helped get the T20 world champion out for 115, with only Dwayne Bravo (55) and No. 10 Jerome Taylor (21) reaching double-figures.”We’re using Imad Wasim as a strike bowler and he has done well so far,” said Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed, who won the toss and opted to field first. “We have focused a lot on fielding and positive body language, and I am happy that the players have responded well.”Ahmed was made T20 captain after Pakistan’s unimpressive performance in the World T20 in India earlier this year and had started off well, beating England in his first match as captain earlier this month. (Historic first for Pakistan as Misbah gets the Test mace in Lahore )West Indies top order stumbled to 48-8 before Bravo and Taylor combined for 66 runs and the highest ever ninth-wicket partnership in T20 internationals.”We just didn’t come to the party today,” West Indies captain Carlos Brathwaite said. “We’ll have a talk about handling spin.”West Indies lost half of its batting lineup for just 22 runs inside the first five overs as Wasim claimed three wickets in his first two overs with the new ball.Another left-arm spinner, Mohmmad Nawaz, clean bowled Johnson Charles for seven runs and seamer Hasan Ali got an edge off debutante Nicholas Pooran.advertisementKieron Pollard and Bravo struggled to rebuild the innings before Wasim struck twice in his fourth over, when he had Pollard clean bowled for nine and Brathwaite top-edged for a duck. By Abhishek Hore New Delhi, Jun 28 (PTI) FIFA is set to shift Indias Under-17 World Cup matches from Mumbai to the national capital Delhi as the apex soccer body has taken the host governments request “very seriously”. The All India Football Federation (AIFF) initially wanted Mumbai to host Indias home matches but later asked FIFA to shift them to Delhi due to pressure from the sports ministry as it felt it was appropriate that the capital hosts the home teams games. Asked if they have finalised on shifting Indias round robin matches from Mumbai to Delhi, FIFAs head of events Jaime Yarza told PTI, “We are working on the most beneficial decision for the tournament. We take the requests from the Indian Government very seriously, as its our main partner in the organisation of the FIFA U-17 World Cup.” As hosts, India would normally be placed in Group A and will be the number one team — A1 — in the four-team group. Navi Mumbai was originally scheduled to host Group A matches but the AIFFs request means Delhi could now host those while Navi Mumbai will have to settle for Group B games. A source, in the know of the developments, said FIFA is “very close” to shift the matches. “Together with the AIFF and the Government, this world cup will change the future of football in India. We are convinced to reach a decision which will satisfy all parties,” Yarza said. The first FIFA event in India will be held across six Indian cities from October 6 to 28. Though he did not reveal the names, Yarza said at least two top players will be present on the the day of the official draw in Mumbai on July 7. “Well, we cannot spoil the fun for the fans. We will have two top players for the official draw on the 7th July, as well as some other appearances until the start of the tournament. “But its difficult to find time on the agendas of such football legends, so wed rather work carefully to make sure that these legends make an impact on the Indian fans. But one thing we can confirm: football fans will not be disappointed!” Even as the response to ticket sales continues to be lukewarm in centres such as Goa and Delhi, Yarza sounded confident that it would pick up after the draw. “We are very satisfied with venues like Guhawati, Kochi or Kolkata. The Indian public seems to be aware of the importance of this world cup for the future of football in India, and no one would like to miss the stars of tomorrow in their own country. “Having said that, we need to increase our efforts in Navi Mumbai, New Delhi and Goa. But its customary that ticket sales increases once the teams? venues are known, so we?ll analyse carefully the ticket sales reports after the draw. In general, FIFA is very satisfied with ticket sales until now.” PTI AH PM PMadvertisement

What is your go-to solution for dandruff? We are guessing many of you would recommend home remedies like lime juice, cold curd massages, or other things. But have you ever thought of using urine to wash your hair to get rid of dandruff?Miriam Lancewood, a former teacher-turned-wilderness explorer apparently washes her hair with urine and that has worked well for her, by her own admission.Previously a sports teacher, Miriam ditched the comfort of her home and city life in 2010 and left to live in the wilderness of New Zealand with her husband Peter. While speaking to Mamamia’s No Filter podcast, Miriam revealed that almost 9 years ago, when she left with her husband to live in the wild, she did not miss much from the comfortable city life, apart from shampoos.Miriam said she struggled with a bad bout of dandruff during her first winter away from home. However, husband Peter, might have had a trick up his sleeve.
